General Motors and GSL Chev City has formed a relationship with The Clean Air Foundation to provide Car Heaven – a program that offers $1,000 toward your next Cadillac or Chevrolet vehicle when you dispose of your old vehicle in an ecological way.
Here’s how it works:
In order to be eligible for a $750 incentive your vehicle must:
- Be a 1995 model or older
- Be currently registered and insured in the Province of Alberta
- Have been registered and insured in the Province of Alberta for the previous, consecutive six (6) months in the Donor's name.
Vehicles must be driven to the drop-off location and cannot be towed.
You will be required to show proof of registration and insurance when dropping off your vehicle. Your vehicle will not be accepted into Car Heaven if you fail to provide the necessary documentation.
Car Heaven -GM Dealer Process (Edmonton and Calgary)
Step 1 - Determine if the customer is eligible for the program
- Vehicle must be 1995 or older
- Vehicle must be registered and insured in the customer's name, in the Province of Alberta, for the last consecutive 6 months
- Vehicle must be drivable
- See GM HOL for other GM specific criteria
Step 2 - Complete the online application form
- Go to www.carheaven.ca, click on "Donate a Vehicle", and select "Alberta"
- Fill out form and print last page
- There is a section on the form titled "Vehicle Pickup Location". This does not apply to you since all vehicles have to be dropped off. Bypass this section by simply clicking on the box that says "Vehicle pickup location is the same as above"
Step 3 - Document Verification
- Fax a copy of the proof of registration and insurance to Car Heaven at (780) 408-4585
Step 4 - Drop off Vehicle
- Either bring or have customer bring vehicle to Pick N Pull
- If the vehicle is going to be dropped off the same day, notify Car Heaven at 1-888-441-2277 so that the application can be processed immediately.
Step 5 - Send in Required documents
- The back of hte customers registration slip must be completed and signed and the original copy of this mailed in.
- To accelerate the process, this can be couriered. Include a business card and we will fax a copy of hte GM certificate once the couriered document is received.
